Safety first

Report a Problem

If a conversation turns uncomfortable, unsafe, or breaks the community guidelines, you can end it and tell us about it. This page explains the fastest way to do that and what happens after you do.

You will never be in trouble for reporting something in good faith, even if it turns out to be a false alarm. For what to watch for before it gets that far, see the safety tips.

Three ways to act

Do the first one if you can. The others exist for when the conversation is already gone or you want to add something to a report you have already sent.

Use the report button
Every chat has one. It reaches the safety team with the conversation already attached, which makes it the fastest option by some distance.
Fastest
Block and leave
You do not owe anyone the rest of a conversation. Block the person and exit the chat the moment you feel unsafe, then report when you are ready.

Your safety comes first.

Email the safety team
Write to the address below if the conversation has already ended, or to add detail to a report you sent from the app.

What to put in an emailed report

A report is easier to act on when it says when and what. Conversations here have no profiles or real names and are short-lived, so the details you remember are worth writing down while they are fresh.

  • The date and time of the conversation. This is what lets the safety team find the right match.
  • What happened, in your own words. Describe the behaviour rather than only naming a rule.
  • Whether you have already blocked the person or sent a report from inside the app, so the same incident is not handled twice.
  • An email address we can reply to if you would like an answer. Reporting without one is fine too.

What happens after you report

Not a safety problem?

Questions about the app, feedback, press and partnership enquiries all go through the contact page, where the form routes your message to the right place.
